It is such an awesome day. I really love the interaction with the students and watching their little faces light up as they explain their project. Thank you to you and your team for all of your hard work at putting on such a professional event. It just keeps getting better and better each year. You do such an amazing job for all of these young budding scientists. I must tell you of a story of a student who had been struggling with school work for most of his infants years. We convinced his teacher to enter the science fair as it was such a worthwhile educative process and loads of fun as well. Well - the student loved the process of putting together his project (he was in yr 4) and shone on the day of the fair. He and his partner received a highly commended for their efforts and they were beside themselves. His teacher tells me that he has not been the same since the fair and has come leaps and bounds in his schoolwork and his confidence because of the experience of the fair. This is, what I believe, the fair is all about. So thank you for all that you do.
Congratulations on another superb day! Everything went really smoothly (or as far we could see...), and I certainly had a great day. Once again, its great to see the same judges turn up year after year, and all the new ones, and some old people coming back again. And its also good to see the new schools and from how far they are coming. Narromine now faces an 8-hour drive! It's going from strength to strength - well done.
Please accept my sincere thanks for a wonderful day at the Science Fair. I thoroughly enjoyed the day chatting with so many young budding scientists. I was very impressed with the amount of work so many had put into the presentation of their work and how very well read each student was on their area of interest. I was also impressed by how articulate many of the young children were when explaining their experiments to me and answering my questions. It is all so very positive for the many hard working teachers and parents out there in the community.
Congratulations on a job well done. Thanks again for the opportunity to participate in such a rewarding experience.
Congratulations again. What a terrific event you organised. You must have gone home absolutely exhausted. I took the opportunity to look at all the other students' efforts that I didn't see in the judging and I was most impressed with the level of understanding of the scientific method. Thanks for allowing me to be part of the day.
Thanks again for your superb organisation of the day - it went very smoothly. I thought the quality of the work done by the younger students was exceptional.
The support of the University and of Illawarra Coal, plus the enthusiastic participation of such a large number of judges, who are involved each year, are all indicators that what you are doing is valuable - for the present and for the future!
