2017 Atmospheric Composition and Chemistry Observations and Modelling Conference

incorporating the Cape Grim Annual Science Meeting

8-10 November, 2017

The 2017 Atmospheric Composition and Chemistry Observations and Modelling Conference (ACCOMC) will be held at Murramarang Beachfront Nature Resort from 8-10 November. The aims of the meeting are:

  • To understand the role of atmospheric chemistry and composition in global atmospheric change as expressed in the Australasian region and internationally.
  • To provide a forum for Australian atmospheric composition and chemistry researchers from different disciplines (in situ observations, remote sensing observations, modelling) to share ideas, enhance collaboration and develop a coordinated regional approach to characterising atmospheric processes in Australasia.

Students and early career researchers are particularly encouraged to attend and present their work. International researchers are also very welcome to attend!

Joint session with the IGAC Scientific Steering Committee

The first afternoon of the conference will be held in collaboration with the International Global Atmospheric Chemistry project’s scientific steering committee meeting (see www.igacproject.org ).

Location and timing

ACCOMC will run from lunchtime on Wednesday 8th November to lunchtime on Friday 10th November.
The conference will be held at the Murramarang Beachfront Nature Resort on the NSW south coast. Murramarang is about a 2.5-hour drive from Wollongong, a 2-hr drive from Canberra, or a 4-hour drive from the Sydney airport.

Abstracts for due October 2nd. Please use the abstract submission template (to be provided closer to the deadline) and send to Nada Derek with copies to Clare Murphy and Paul Krummel.

We are grateful for support from the University of Wollongong Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health. This is an IGAC and iCACGP endorsed event.
