Lipids

Lipids

The lipidomics group combines a multidisciplinary team of researchers from Medicine, Chemistry and Biology with the aim of understanding the role of lipids in health and disease. There is particular focus on vision, neural and cardiovascular diseases associated with lifestyle and ageing.

CMMB researchers have also been at the forefront of developing new mass spectrometry-based analytical capabilities for the characterisation and measurement of lipids.
